REGULAR EVENTS:

Quiz Nights: Every 1st Wednesday. £1 per person; teams of up to 6. Winners take pot.

Music Nights: Acoustic music every 3rd Wednesday with the Elderly Brothers.

Every 2nd Thursday: guitars, banjos, fiddles... come along and join in

Guided Walks: Every 1st Saturday. Coffee and pastries at 9.15 followed by a 3 hour walk in the surrounding countryside. Back in time for bacon baps or a bowl of soup.

Cyclists' Meets: Every 2nd Saturday. Coffee and pastries at 8.45 then choose from a selection of rides. Ideal if you haven't done much cycling for a while and want some motivation. Gentle ride to Broughton across the mosses, then further if you want.

SPECIAL EVENTS:

Steam Bus Pub Crawl - First one was on 8th March. Start from the Greyhound, 12 noon onwards. Visit pubs in Foxfield and Broughton on a vintage Steam Bus. £5 adults. Planned to happen again during school holidays.

65th Anniversary of D-Day - We are offering a free main course to all current and former services personnel. Bring ID - could be a photo of yourself in uniform for our wall of heroes. We are also collecting for Help for Heroes.

Walking Festival - 4th to the 6th September - A range of great walks straight from the door of the Greyhound - live music - slide shows etc. Put it in your diary now!
